Cracking on with in app voting for ITV's Love Island

The summer of Love Island is officially over and as the public crown Amber and Greg as their favourite couple on Mallorca, this has been a record breaking season for viewer interaction

Tectonic Interactive’s vote platform is used by ITV for all its big brand shows, and powered the voting for another hugely successful series of Love Island

Over 9.5 million votes were placed across the series and on the final vote weekend, the public placed more than 2.7 million votes, up 11% year on year. Voting peaked at 9846 per second.

Great Success for Logie Awards 2019 with voting by Tectonic

For the second year in a row, Tectonic worked with Bauer Media to deliver live public voting for the TV Week Logie Awards, broadcast live on the Australia’s Channel Nine.

The Tectonic voting service was integrated with the website, with viewers able to vote for nominees in 11 categories, including the coveted TV Week Gold Logie Award, for the most popular personality on Australian TV.

Viewers were authenticated by the Google Firebase platform, with vote integrity being secured through viewers having to submit a 4 digit PIN code that was sent to their Australian mobile number, ensuring that they could only cast a maximum of 1 vote per category.

Great Success for The Voice 2019

For the fifth season in a row Tectonic were chosen to successfully deliver voting for The Voice Australia.

As a first for the show, this season the voting functionality was integrated with the broadcaster’s website rather than via a stand-alone app for the show. Viewers were also authenticated via the broadcasters own single sign-on system for the first time.
